Posted on 06 Mar, 2024

In a noteworthy development, a prominent real estate developer Bhutani Group, a part of Bayview Projects, has been selected as the concessionaire for the upcoming international film city near Noida airport. The project, situated along the Yamuna Expressway, materializes through a public-private partnership (PPP) with the Uttar Pradesh government. According to Bhutani Group CEO Ashish Bhutani, this film city emerged as a global leader, incorporating pioneering elements never seen before on an international scale.

Bayview Projects, selected as the operator for the film city, boasts support from renowned filmmaker Boney Kapoor, alongside Parmesh Construction Company and Noida Cyberpark as consortium members. Bhutani underscored the magnitude of the project, affirming its valuation to be worth "thousands of crore."

Noida will soon get a new Film City near the forthcoming Jewar International Airport. The UP government has planned the development of a film city in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area (Phase – 1). According to a report by Money Control, Bayview Projects LLP, led by Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor, has successfully secured the bid to develop the new International Film City along the Yamuna Expressway. In association with developer Bhutani Infra, Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects will reportedly develop the 230-acre area in the first phase of the 1000-acre project.

With the development of the Noida International Airport near Jewar, the region is poised to experience a plethora of growth opportunities and advancements in the coming years. In this regard, the development of Film City is proposed in Sector 21 in the YEIDA region.  A land parcel spanning approximately 1,000 acres has been earmarked for this purpose. The designated site encompasses a blend of commercial and industrial utilization.

According to the Money Control report, financial bids for the new Noida Film City were opened on January 30, with Bayview Projects, led by Boney Kapoor in partnership with Bhutani Infra, emerging as the highest bidder. Additionally, entities such as Maddock Films, Cape of Good Films LLP, T-Series, and production firms associated with Bollywood filmmaker KC Bokadia are also reported to have applied for the development of the Film City.

In NOIDA, four prominent film production companies, comprising T-Series, Maddock Films, as well as those helmed by esteemed producers and directors Boney Kapoor and KC Bokadia, have tendered bids for the development of the Film City adjacent to the forthcoming Noida International Airport. "This will be the best film city in the world, and that is a Bhutani promise," Aashish Bhutani told PTI. He outlined the distinctive attributes that the film city would offer, encompassing state-of-the-art technology, world-class studios, shopping centers, and tourism spots,  positioning it as a trailblazer on the global stage.

In collaborating with Boney Kapoor, Bhutani emphasized the veteran filmmaker's expertise in cinema-making. "Boney Kapoor is a veteran in the film industry. Artistry runs in his family, with multiple artists among its members. Bhutani remarked, "He brings with him the expertise of creating numerous films himself. "Emphasizing the disparity between creating and operating a film city, Bhutani explained the necessity of Kapoor's involvement, depicting it as a collaboration of equal contributions. "It is going to be equally hard work for all of us. We are committed to driving this project forward collectively," he emphasized.

This landmark endeavor represents the inaugural PPP project for the Bhutani Group. The renowned real estate developer, acclaimed for its projects in the Delhi National Capital Region, is extending its reach with new ventures in Lucknow, Ludhiana, Haridwar, and Goa.

Bayview Projects secured the deal by proposing the highest revenue share of 18 percent to the state government, as verified by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Competing against established entities such as T-series, supported by Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited, Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited, and 4 Lions Films Private Limited, Bayview Projects emerged victorious.

The Film City, a cherished initiative of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is slated to be developed across 1,000 acres of land. The initial phase will encompass 230 acres situated in Sector 21 of YEIDA along the Yamuna Expressway. This endeavor marks a significant achievement, not just for the Bhutani Group, but also for the state of Uttar Pradesh, as it pioneers a groundbreaking initiative in the field of international film production.

In September 2020, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced plans to establish the nation's largest and most beautiful Film City in the state's Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Subsequently, a land parcel of 1,000 acres was allocated in Sector 21, approximately six km away from the upcoming Noida airport, for the ambitious project. YEIDA floated global tenders twice in 2021 and 2022, but the company came forward because of the high project cost of Rs 7200 crore.

In conclusion, Noida Film City represents a bold vision for the future of international cinema. With Ashish Bhutani's visionary leadership and commitment to excellence, this ambitious project holds the potential to transform the global film industry. From economic prosperity to creative empowerment, Noida Film City promises to be a game-changer on the international stage. As the world eagerly awaits its unveiling, one thing is certain: the future of cinema has never looked brighter. For more details connect with us!
